This is the first part I've printed that was designed and modeled entirely by an agent. It's a simple part, but it's pretty interesting that it worked without any issues.

It's a faceplate for a 3-gang electrical box: one opening for a standard duplex outlet and two standard 1.406" round openings for something like a 6-20R receptacle. The initial prompt was:

Use the Fusion MCP to create a 3D model of a standard faceplate for a 3-gang electrical box. One of the openings should be for a standard duplex electrical connector. The other two should be standard 1.406 round openings for something like a 6-20R receptacle. The whole thing should be completely flat, so that it can be laser cut.

I then asked it to make two adjustments: fillet the corners, and add a screw hole that it had intentionally omitted.

It remains to be seen whether it fits. If it doesn't, I have the model, so it will be easy to adjust.

Update, October 2026

It fit.
