On a Sunday morning in July 2023 I ran a part on the Matsuura at the makerspace. Here's the machine at work milling the aluminum in a vise, with a stream of coolant on it.
And here's what came off it. The block has contoured pockets and a bunch of tapped holes. Don't look too closely at the broken-off tap in one of those holes.
