One great thing about lathes is that they're awesome for cranking out homemade presents. This one is an ice cream scoop. Obviously the metal part at the end is something I bought, but the handle I turned.
It came out a little chunkier than I would like, but it's kind of neat to have one that big. I might do more of these in the future.
Another handle, which I finished with purple dye, because I wanted to try wood dye. It came out pretty funky looking, but I think I like it.
