As usual, my weekend was a mix of volunteering and personal making.
Robotics
Much of this weekend went to competing with FRC8592 at the Battle o' Baltimore (results). We did reasonably well competitively, but as this was an off-season competition, the main purpose was giving the students a chance to go to a competition and either develop or refine their processes. As usual, I took on the role of Pit Coordinator, where I help Software, Hardware, and the Drive Team to work together to maintain, update, or repair the robot as necessary. We had a few failures, as we often do, and the kids did a great job of tracking them down and fixing them, in a couple cases with only a few seconds to spare.
Personal Maker Time
I'm still working on a project I can't talk about. Mainly right now it involves getting either the M3 or the DMC2 Mini fully operational. Both of them work, but the M3 needs the red dot for the CO2 laser to be aligned, and the Mini is still disassembled after a recent move. More on both of those later.
I also had a couple of interesting projects-for-a-friend hit my inbox, but again, more on those later.
Nova Labs Sink
I finished installing the sink at Nova Labs as part of the renovation.

It was nice to get that one done.

I guess we'll see if any of my soldering or SharkBite connections leak when the water gets hooked up. Been a while since I sweat a connection, and I've never used the SharkBite stuff before. Seems pretty idiot-proof, but then again I can be a pretty big idiot.
There was much work in the rest of the space, including getting the walls ready for painting. They were filthy.
